Canadian Autonomy

    Since the beginning of Canadian history, our country has maintained some degree of ties to its mother country, Great Britain. However, Canadians have also developed a great amount of national identity, and have, over the course of the 20th century, made many advancements towards Canadian autonomy. This website examines aspects of Canadian history which led to Canada's political independence from Britain throughout the 20th century.
